It's another week in the PSUAC. Let's check out what has happened over the past week and what's to come!

  • Check out our Players of the Week as ten student-athletes earned recognition this week!
  • USCAA Coaches Polls are out! The first week's editions include 10 PSUAC teams ranked, and two others in the receiving votes category.
    • Brandywine has a team in each poll, including being ranked 3rd in the Men's Division II Soccer poll
    • Fayette is 4th in the Women's DII Volleyball poll
    • Beaver leads the PSUAC in the Women's DII Soccer poll, coming in at 13th with Brandywine and Hazleton at 14 and 15 respectively
  • It was a family affair last Saturday for Brandywine volleyball coach Fabiana Scavicchio-Fields as she faced off with sister Cecily, who is the head coach of the Ursinus College volleyball team. Cecily picked up the win, but always a fun day when sibling rivalries can be played out.
  • Speaking of volleyball, it's a big volleyball weekend in the PSUAC. All 13 teams are in action at Penn State Fayette in the first-ever divisional crossover weekend. In previous years, all teams played each other at least once during the season. With a move to divisional play for the 2018 season, a crossover weekend was scheduled in order to continue cross-state competition and provide exposure to the other division prior to the playoffs.
    • Some matches to look out for:
      • Division leaders square off on Saturday as Brandywine plays Fayette
      • Upstart Hazleton takes on perennial contender Beaver
      • Schuylkill and Greater Allegheny, both in the middle of the pack of their respective divisions, battle it out Saturday evening
      • DuBois, currently at 4-1 in PSUAC play, tries to upend Brandywine on Sunday morning
      • Mont Alto and Scranton, both currently on short losing streaks, look to rebound on Sunday against each other.
  • In men's soccer, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton will face off on Wednesday, Oct. 3 in an I-81 battle. While both teams sit near the bottom of the conference, a solid weekend or a win in the rivalry game could spur movement up the standings.
  • New Kensington, currently on a 3-game winning streak in men's soccer, battles Brandywine on Thursday in a match-up of two of the top three teams in the PSUAC.
  • Lehigh Valley men's soccer, currently 2-0 in the PSUAC in their first year of intercollegiate play, looks to overthrow defending champ Brandywine on Wednesday.
  • Hazleton women's soccer looks to keep its grasp on first place as they host Beaver on Saturday. With a win, either team would firmly plant themselves near the top for playoff contention.
    • They'll each eventually have to dethrone defending champ Brandywine, who faces three games in six days against Lehigh Valley (2) and Mont Alto.
  • Brandywine looks to continue its conference winning streaks. Men's soccer has 29-straight conference wins, the third-longest active streak at any level of men's college soccer. Women's soccer owns a 23-game unbeaten streak (22-0-1) and volleyball has 22 consecutive conference wins.
