Same Old Song: Weather Nixes Baseball Thursday and Saturday

LEMONT FURNACE, Pa. -- The 1960s musical group The Four Tops would be the appropriate people to report on the status of recent Roaring Lions baseball games. The lyrics to "The Same Old Song" ring true again as Fayette loses two more baseball play dates to weather.

As has been the refrain since the team returned north nearly two weeks ago, a pair of doubleheaders were postponed due to poor weather and field conditions.

Today's (March 21) non-conference home doubleheader with Boyce Community College has been postponed. Also, due to continued bad weather in the eastern part of Pennsylvania, Saturday's (March 23) PSUAC opener at Penn State Wilkes Barre has also been postponed.

Fayette will now travel to Penn State Wilkes Barre on Thursday, April 4 for a 2:30 p.m. doubleheader.

No make-up date has been set for the Boyce CC games.
