Bennett reaches 100 career wins at PS DuBois
Dec. 19, 2011
Penn State DuBois men's basketball coach, Dave Bennett recorded his 100th career win at the campus on Sunday, when his PSUD Nittany Lions defeated PS Lehigh Valley 88-42. The win pushed PS DuBois to a season record of 7-3 and (5-1 in PSUAC). Coach Bennett is in his 6th season at the helm of the basketball program, he assisted one year prior to taking over the reins in October 2006.
In his first year Bennett led the team to a 24-7 record and a 2nd place finish in the USCAA National Basketball Championship, he followed that up with another trip to the USCAA Championships in 2010 finishing in 4th place with a record of 22-8.
Dave's contributions go beyond the basketball court: he demands his players to be complete student/athletes. Study table for academics success, community outreach- Boy Scout day and clinic is a favorite of the coaches and players. Recruitment and developing relationships with high school coaches is a necessity, through this process creating diversity to the DuBois campus. At all times strive to represent our campus in a prideful manor which is representative of the mission of Penn State University.
We not only congratulate Coach Bennett on this milestone in his coaching career, but we thank his wife Kaye and his children for sharing their husband, father with all of us at Penn State DuBois.
