Men's Team Plays Closest Game of Season - Beats Wilkes Barre in Triple Overtime!!

One minute after tip off Penn State Wilkes Barre had 8 points and celebrated the rally with a time out to refocus.  After that, PSWS wasted no time playing catch up.  Every basket was matched with another, every steal - stolen back.  Frank Depietro used his ball handling skills to sneak past defenders and quick hands to steal the ball.  Hasiin Dixon did what he does best, drive to the basket for 22 points and box out for 11 rebounds.  DJ Davis had 11 points of his own and 12 rebounds, dominating the post.  Matt MacArt helped pad the score as he sank multiple 3 pointers to total 17 points. 

With seconds left in the game and down 2 points Matt MacArt inbounded the ball and it looked like it was over - PSWS fumbled and lost it.  Then a foul was called with less than 2 seconds and MacArt had the chance to inbound again.  Passing it in to Joe Gibbons the clock seemed to be at a standstill and the crowd was quiet.  Gibbons got air, made one final attempt to score - and sank it. 

Now tied the team and crowd were elated and celebrated but quickly returned to play overtime.  The next five minutes flew by with basket matching basket until another tie had to be resolved.  This happened again as PSWS and PSUWB entered their third overtime and with last minute baskets by Hassin Dixon and Joe Gibbons, as well as a few blocks by Dixon and Davis - Penn State pulled out the win 69-65.
