Washington, PA---- The Lions of Penn State Beaver fell to Ohio Northern Universtiy in the title game of the Second Annual Washington Area Credit Union Tournament hosted by Washington and Jefferson College on Sunday. After defeating the host team on Saturday evening, the Lions fell to ONU by a score of 78-60.
Beaver finished with three scorers in double figures as Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) scored 14, Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) added 13 and Lamont Wright (Penn Hills, Penn Hills) chipped in 10. All three scores were in double figures in Saturday's contest as well. Miller also had 3 assits and 3 rebounds while Agurs had 4 rebounds and Wright distributed 3 assists.
Ohio Northern led the entire way as Beaver fell to 1-1 overall following the opening season tournament and they will be back on the hardwood on Tuesday as they open their home season at the Beaver Fieldhouse at 730 pm. Beaver will host cross town rival Geneva College which is always one of the most entertaining contests on the season.
