Fayette Men Win First Game at the USCAA National Tournament

UNIONTOWN, PA- The tenth seeded Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions upset the seventh seeded Vermont Tech Knights 79-66

Second Team All-American guard Brandon Cunningham led Fayette with 25 points and 8 rebounds on 10 of 20 shooting. David Winns contributed a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Both teams were very evenly matched shooting 41 percent from the field. The battle of boards made the difference in this game as Fayette out rebounded Vermont Tech 46 to 35.

Junior guard Brandon Matano led the Knights with 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting. Kyle Kisssenberth was the only other Knight in double figures (12pts). Penn State Fayette advances to play second seeded and defending national champion Andrews University on Thursday, February 28th at 2:00pm in the Main Arena
