WILKES BARRE, Pa. – Junior David Munn (Athens) made nine saves in the Pennsylvania College of Technology's 2-0 loss to Wilkes University Thursday. The loss snaps the Wildcats' seven-game win streak and drops the team to 7-2-1. The Colonel defense was strong allowing only eight Penn College shots.
Wilkes got on the board early in the 13th when Eddie Metzger took a pass from the baseline. The 1-0 lead stayed until the 61st when Michael Turner hit a laser into the left post.
In the game, Penn College had seven offsides called. Freshmen Tarik LaRoche (Milton) and Christian Dressler (Mifflintown) each had two shots to lead the team.
Penn College next hosts Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday, Sept. 29 for a 1 p.m. game.
