Blauvelt Second as Wildcats Take First at PCT/LCCC Invitational

NANTICOKE, Pa. - Freshman Dan Blauvelt (Flemington, N.J.) took second to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's cross country team to a first place finish at the Penn College/Luzerne County Community College Invitational held in Nanticoke. Blauvelt ran the 5.5 mile men's course in 32:35. As a team, the Wildcats placed four in the top ten on the men's side.

Sophomore Dan Flynn (Blairstown, N.J.) took third with a 33:04 while sophomore Dan Starr (Stewartstown) was sixth at 33:17. Freshman Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) rounded out the top ten finishers placing seventh in a time of 33:39.

On the women's side, freshman Eileen Harrington (Springfield, Va.) was 17th, running 29:37 in the 5K course. Freshman Michelle Holzmann (Saylorsburg) placed 20th in her first ever race with a time of 34:58.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State DuBois for a a Penn State University Athletic Conference invitational on Saturday, Oct. 13.
