Rodgers/Morrin Win in Wildcats’ Loss to Brandywine

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite a straight set victory from second doubles pair Jordan Rodgers (Biglerville) and Christopher Morrin (Morrisville), the Pennsylvania College of Technology lost its first match to Penn State Brandywine Saturday 8-1.Rodgers and Morrin defeated Bockarie Sannoh and Daniel Winchock in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. The loss evens out the Wildcats' overall and conference record to 1-1.

In singles, the Lady Wildcats took both singles matches to three sets but could not close them out. Sophomore Jenna Walmer (Lebanon) lost 6-1, 4-6, 10-4 at first singles while freshman Taylor Lapointe (Pelham, N.H.) fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-12 in the second flight.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Sept. 22 for a noon match.
