Kimbrough scores 33, Beaver gets win over Fayette

Monaca, PA--- The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions got a conference victory over PSU Fayette on Saturday, winning 81-68 to improve their conference record to 10-3. Saturday also marked senior day at the Beaver Fieldhouse as Brooke Mulniex (Beaver Falls, Riverside) and Brittany Tomaselli (East Liverpool, East Liverpool) were both honored. Beaver took a lead in the first half, leading by as many as 14 before taking a 9 point lead at the half. Beaver then built on that lead in the second half, getting their biggest lead of the game when they got a 22 point lead and the Lady Lions were able to get a big conference win on senior day.

Hayden Kimbrough (Rochester, Rochester) had her best game in a Beaver uniform as she finished with 33 points and also grabbed 12 rebounds. Tomaselli added 16 points and Morgan Kurtz (Washington, Trinity) scored 12 points and had 8 rebounds. Both Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, Westinghouse) and Jocelyn Warfield (Monaca, Central Valley) had 8 rebounds for Beaver in the win.

Beaver is now 15-6 overall and 10-3 in the PSUAC and will play their final conference game on the season when they travel to PSU Greater Allegheny on Tuesday for a 6pm tip-off.
