Beaver loses in 5 sets

Monaca, PA---- Penn State Beaver lost a heartbraker to conference rival Greater Allegheny on Saturday in 5 sets. GA took the first set 25-21 but Beaver battled back to take set number two by a score of 25-16. GA then took set number three 28-26 and after Beaver took the 4th set 25-18, GA finally took the match by winning the fifth and final set 17-15.

Beaver was led by Natalie Gamble (McKees Rocks, Sto-Rox) who had 12 kills and 8 blocks. Miranda Pfeiffer (Freedom, Freedom) had 2 digs and Amanda Palumbo (Aliquippa, Quigley Catholic) had 6 aces.

Beaver will play again on Thursday when they travel to Penn State Fayette to play at 7pm.
