Leandri Wins 2011 Penn State Wilkes-Barre Women's Cross Country Invitational
9/17/11 – On Saturday, September 17th, the first PSUAC Cross Country meet of the season took place at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.  The big winner for the day was Wilkes-Barre freshman Alex Leandri, who won the women's race with a time of 17:24 minutes.  She blew away the competition, as the second place finisher crossed the finish line with a 18:29 minute time (Amber Martin – Worthington Scranton).  Wilkes-Barre Coach Brian Stanchak said after the race "I am so proud of Alex.  She has worked tremendously hard throughout the pre-season and all of that hard work paid off for her today."
