Harper, Bortnick, Among Others, Shine as Players of the Week

One of our championships has been decided, plenty more to go! Let's take a look back at this week's top performers with our Players of the Week!

Jeremy Harper, Golfer of the Week

Jeremy Harper was the individual medalist at the 2021 PSUAC Golf Championship, decided on Tuesday. After shooting a two-day total of 4-over-148, Harper won on the third playoff hole with a birdie to claim the title.

Joe O'Connell, Men's Runner of the Week

Joe O'Connell ran a 29:27 at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational this past weekend. O'Connell led Penn State Fayette to a ninth place team finish in a field comprised of mainly NCAA Division I and Division II schools.

Haley Miller, Women's Runner of the Week

Haley Miller ran a 26:17 at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, a meet that featured 15 teams of mostly NCAA Division I and Division II schools. Miller's finish is the highest recorded at the Carnegie Mellon Invite in the history of the Penn State Fayette program.

Alex Sydor, Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Alex Sydor collected seven points on three goals and one assist during a pair of conference victories for Penn State Brandywine this past week.

Pablo Rea, Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Pablo Rea's nine saves and stellar play in net helped lead Penn State New Kensington to a 3-1 victory in its only game of the week over previously undefeated Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Lacey Daum, Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Lacey Daum led Penn State Mont Alto to a conference win over Penn State Schuylkill last week. Daum had five shots, scoring once as Mont Alto improved to 7-2 on the season, including 6-0 in the PSUAC.

Zoe Zentz, Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Zoe Zentz helped lead Penn State Mont Alto to a 1-1 record this past week, only surrendering a total of three goals to opponents during this stretch.

Sydney Kaschalk, Volleyball Player of the Week

Sydney Kaschalk had an outstanding week, leading Penn State DuBois to a 3-1 record with all three wins coming against conference opponents to help keep her team atop the PSUAC West Division. Kaschalk totaled 52 kills, 42 digs and added 11 service aces.

Emily Bortnick, Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week

Emily Bortnick posted 26 service aces, including 16 in just one match, and added 80 assists along with 20 digs in three matches this week, helping Penn State Shenango to a 2-1 record.
