PSUAC Players of the Week Shine in Early Conference Slate

Conference play has started, so let's check out our latest Players of the Week!

Team of the Week 3

Penn State Lehigh Valley Men’s Soccer Team

The Lehigh Valley men’s soccer team has started 4-0 this season, racking up two impressive wins this past week. The team defeated Williamson 5-1, led by strong performances from Parker Hoff with three assists and David Brownell scoring two goals. Hoff carried the team to its 3-2 victory over Northhampton Community College, by scoring two goals in the game with his final goal sealing the victory for Penn State.

Golfer of the Week 3

Ryan Small, Penn State Mont Alto

Ryan Small won the Mont Alto Invitational by four strokes. Small’s score of 72 powered his first victory of the season as he topped the field in the seven-team event.

Women’s Soccer Player of the Week 3

Gia Cetroni, Penn State Brandywine 

Gia Cetroni, a fourth-year midfielder, played all 90 minutes in the team’s games against Penn State Schuylkill and Penn State Beaver — both victories. She recorded an assist in the win over Brandywine.

 

Men’s Soccer Player of the Week 3

Parker Hoff, Penn State Lehigh Valley

In the fourth game of the season against Northampton Community College, Parker Hoff had two goals and an assist, his second goal being the game winner with 3:55 left in the game. Hoff has started all four games so far this season for 4-0 Lehigh Valley men's soccer, tallying three goals, four assists, 10 points and six shots on goal.

Men’s Goalie of the Week 3 

Kenton Knox, Penn State New Kensington

Kenton Knox started in third game of his career against Christendom on Sept. 13 and posted a 100% save percentage with three saves in a 5-1 victory. The only goal scored on the first-year player was on a penalty kick right out of the half. In three games, Knox has tallied 20 saves and has a record of 2-1 when he is in the net.

Volleyball Hitter of the Week 3

Sydney Terrell, Penn State Brandywine

Penn State Brandywine women's volleyball won three of four matches last week, including two against PSUAC teams. Leading the way was outside hitter Sydney Terrell, who played in all four matches. She recorded 16 kills throughout the week, including 12 against Penn State Hazleton. She also recorded nine service aces in 14 total sets. In her role as a setter, Terrell notched 34 digs and 40 assists. 

Volleyball Specialist of the Week 3 

Sydney Stevens, Penn State Brandywine

Stevens recorded a season-high 22 digs against Bryn Athyn as well as her 200th career ace. She averaged four aces and 10 digs per match as she led Brandywine to three straight wins during the week. Stevens played a pivotal role in Brandywine’s recent success, losing just one set in their last three games, while she averaged five aces per game.
