Penn State Brandywine Baseball
Penn State Brandywine baseball went 2-0 against NCAA Division III opponents, earning a road win at Moravian and a home win over Cabrini. The team recorded 18 hits to overcome a late one-run deficit at Moravian and defeated Cabrini for the first time in program history.
Baseball Hitter of the Week 2
Jobeth Diaz Osorio, Penn State New Kensington
Not often does a grand slam opportunity present itself to a batter. So when two opportunities occur in the same week, it's important to take advantage. Penn State New Kensington's Jobeth Diaz Osorio did just that, cracking two grand slams and finishing the week with 10 RBI. Diaz Osorio finished the week with a .643 on-base percentage and slugged 1.222 in 11 plate appearances.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week 2
Ryan Orosz, Penn State Greater Allegheny
Ryan Orosz pitched a complete game, five hitter to pick up a win for Penn State Greater Allegheny over Hocking College. Orosz struck out eight batters and walked just two while giving up an earned run in his seven innings.
Softball Hitter of the Week 2
Natalie Bowser, Penn State DuBois
Natalie Bowser had an outstanding performance at the plate for Penn State DuBois this past week. In 12 at bats, Bowser had nine hits, including three doubles. Bowser crossed the plate four times herself and knocked in eight teammates over four games, finishing the week batting .750.
Softball Pitcher of the Week 2
Emma Crisswell, Penn State Schuylkill
Emma Crisswell has been dominant early in the season, picking up her second straight PSUAC Softball Pitcher of the Week award. As an encore to her spring break performance, Crisswell gave up just one hit in 12 innings pitched this past week. Crisswell faced 15 batters against Bucks County Community College, striking out every batter in a run-rule shortened Schuylkill win. Crisswell also struck out 17 of 24 batters against Division III opponent Cairn, giving up just one hit and walking two during the week for a 0.25 WHIP.
