WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK 11
Delaney Burroughs, Penn State York
Second Year
Townsend, Delaware
Guard Delaney Burroughs reached the 1,000-point milestone faster than any women’s basketball player in Penn State York history. During the week, she scored 27 points against Christendom, 26 against Penn State Scranton and 30 against Penn State Schuylkill. Burroughs hit all 15 of her free throws during the three games while averaging more than five assists per game.

Guard Terrell Neal scored his 1,500th career point during a home victory over Penn State Mont Alto, and he finished that game 23 points. During three games, he averaged 26.0 points, connecting on 63.3% of his shots and 6.3 rebounds. Neal also averaged 4.7 assists per game and 3.0 blocked shots a game, contributing all-around as York secured the top seed in the East Division.

Guard Noah Tenorio played 37 total minutes in a pair of conference games for Penn State Hazleton last week, helping his team go 1-1. He scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in a loss to Penn State Mont Alto before playing 14 14 minutes n a one-point victory over Penn State Scranton. Tenorio finished with eight points and two rebounds as Hazleton grabbed an important win in pursuit of the three-seed in the East Division.

The Penn State Fayette men’s basketball team secured the top seed in the West Division with victories over Penn State Shenango (88-87), Penn State Greater Allegheny (65-56) and Penn State DuBois (98-80). For the season, Jesse Lawson Jr. averages a team-high 19.7 points per game while John Osuji leads with team with 8.6 rebounds per game.
