Hazleton freshman Eric Varner has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for baseball as a pitcher. The right-handed pitcher threw a no-hit four inning bout through the 26-8 University of Valley Forge triumph this past Thursday.
Through the 1-0 week, the freshman sat down three batters on strikeouts while not letting up a single walk.
Aaron currently holds down fourth place in the PSUAC for an overall earned run average of 3.00.
