Pennsylvania College of Technology Men’s Basketball Dropped Home Opener
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Gregory Gibbs (Indian Head, Md.) sank 12 points but it wasn't enough as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team dropped its home opener 79-50 to Central Penn College.It was a tough first half with Penn College (0-1) unable to get any consistent offense. The Knights came out hot with a 12-0 run before a three from sophomore Ethan Kline (Bellefonte) ended the streak.Kline ended the game with four points, four assists and three steals. The Knights were not deterred and slowly built up a lead that took them into the half up an impressive 46-15.The Wildcats shot .111 (3-27) from the field while Central Penn was .444 (16-36).Things improved for Penn College in the second half as the team outscored Central Penn 35-33. Shooting percentage improved to .385 (15-39). They were just outrebounded 54-52.Also for the Wildcats, freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the team with seven rebounds.Next up, Penn College travels to Mansfield University for a non-conference match-up on Saturday, Nov 12 at 7 p.m.
