The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 86-47 to Rutgers University - Newark
READING, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 86-47 to Rutgers University - Newark in the consolation game of the Albright College Invitational. Freshman Jason Greenfield (Wellsboro) led the Wildcats with nine points. Penn College drops to 0-5 overall with the loss.
In the opening half, it was back and forth in the first five minutes. Tied at 7, Rutgers hit three straight three-pointers to take the nine point lead. They slowly built the lead from there and went into the half up 37-29. Out of the break, Rutgers continued to stay hot and stretched its lead throughout the second half. Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) picked up his offense in the second half scoring six in the last four minutes. He ended the game with eight.
As a team, the Wildcats totaled 33 rebounds and shot .390 (16-41) from the field. Sophomore Bryan House (Columbia Crossroads) notched seven points and a team leading seven rebounds.
Next up, Penn College travels to Alfred University on Tuesday, Nov. 22 for a 7 p.m. game.
