Easy Win In Monaca For Beaver

Monaca, PA- Penn State Beaver Men's Basketball Team (5-2, 2-1 PSUAC) played another confrence game today against Penn State Wilkes-Barre (Lehman, PA).
The game started out with Beaver up 19-5 from a very excellent performance by Darius Prince (West Mifflin/Pittsburgh, PA) and Robert Agurs (Penn Hills/Pittsburgh, PA). The men of Beaver proved to be too much for the opposing team with fast defense causing 16 turnovers in the first half. Beaver went into the half up 38-17.
The second half was much like the first, with Beaver pretty much dominating the game. Beaver went onto win the game 87-43.
For the day, Beaver shot 55.9% from the field, and 42.9% from three point rage. They also forced 37 Wilkes-Barre turnovers. Prince led the team with 22 points, followed by Agurs with 14, and Nick Miller (Beaver Falls/Beaver Falls, PA) and Patrick Horton (Farrell/Farrell, PA) with 12 points each. Miller and Quentin Burton (Ambridge/Ambridge, PA) each had 5 rebounds, and Agurs had 7 steals as well.
Beaver's next game will be on the road Friday, December 9, 2011 at 8pm against Penn State Schuylkill (Schuylkill Haven, PA).
