Wilkes-Barre, PA---- Penn State Beaver dropped PSU Wilkes-Barre 82-59 on Saturday to open up their 2012-2013 PSUAC conference regular season 2-0. Beaver led by only 1 at the half but took the second 20 minutes 51-29 to claim the victory. The Lions were an impressive 22-25 from the free throw line and finished with 4 scorers in double figures.
Rob Agurs (Pittsburgh, Penn Hills) finished with a game-high 25 points while going 8-11 from the field and also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Nick Miller (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) scored 19 and distributed 4 assists. Both Mike Martin (Dublin Oh, Dublin Jerome) and Lamont Wright (Penn Hills, Penn Hills) added 13 points in the victory. Martin also added 7 rebounds.
Beaver is now 4-2 overall and 2-0 in conference and will play again on Wednesday night when they travel to conference rival PSU DuBois to play at 8pm.
