Penn State Brandywine (2-8 overall, 1-4 PSUAC) put forth a valiant effort against PSUAC South Division rival Penn State Mont Alto (10-0 overall, 5-0 PSUAC), but fell short losing the contest 81-70.
Mont Alto jumped out to a 13 point half-time lead and Brandywine outscored them 43-41 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to capture a win before heading into the semester break.
Brandywine was led by freshman point guard, Perley Mack, who scored 18 points on 10-12 shooting from the free throw line and snatched six steals. Sophomore guard/forward, Pat McGee, added 16 points and six rebounds in the losing effort.
Brandywine will open up the second half of their season at Division III Eastern University on 1/7/14 at 8pm.
