McKeesport, Pa- For the first time since early December, the Greater Allegheny women's basketball team finds itself on a 2 game losing streak, as they fell 69-52 to Carlow University (11-10).
Guards Monica Poupakis (West Mifflin) and Taylor McCallister (Norwin) led GA with 12 points each, with Poupakis adding 4 steals to go with 3 assists, and McCallister grabbing 6 rebounds. Sophomore Guard Megan Brinkos (McKeesport) and Freshman Guard Nakayla Layne (Allderdice) each chipped in with 8 points, while Freshman Forward Christina Floyd (St. John Neumann) collected 14 rebounds.
The loss drops the Greater Allegheny record to 8-12 overall, as they remain 7-4 in the PSUAC. GA returns to the court Saturday Febuary 4th, as they visit Penn State Mont Alto at 1 PM..
