The Penn State Wilkes-Barre (1-0) women's basketball team opened up the 2012-2013 season off to a great start by getting a solid win against LCCC by a score of 68-56, Tuesday evening in the ARB. Junior Tiaira Brathwaite led the team with a team-high 20 points, while Sophomore Aubrey Wargowsky added 14 points and Junior Tiffany Denny-Rochester added 10. This trio had an impressive game for the Mountain Lions combining for 44 out of the team's 68 points. Brathwaite and Denny-Rochester were racking up the rebounds pulling down 21 and 20 respectively. Freshman Jalicia Robinson played a solid game at point guard totaling 10 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Broome CC for a 7:00p.m. game.
