Wrestling Comes Up Short in PSUAC Opener

Mont Alto, Pa- The Greater Allegheny wrestling team opened its PSUAC slate with a tough, 28-26 defeat at the hands of Penn State Mont Alto.

Freshman Erik Rayman (Norwin, PA) began the match for GA with a 13-4 decision, but the following two wrestlers suffered back-to-back pins. Sophomore Tyler Spencer (Langley, PA) then earned a 7-4 win, with sophomores Myan Haviv (Allderdice, PA) and Andre Ellis (Steel Valley, PA) earning forfeit victories.

The setback drops Greater Allegheny's record to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the PSUAC. Next up for the GA wrestlers is a trip to Washington and Jefferson for the W&J Open, this Saturday, November 10.
