Wrestling: Hart Through to All-American Rounds at NCWA Nationals

ALLEN, Texas – With a 4-3 decision over Central Florida, Pennsylvania College of Technology freshman Ryan Hart (Wyalusing) guaranteed himself an All-American spot in the 133 division. Hart is the last remaining Wildcat wrestler after day two of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) National Championships in Allen, Texas. Three more wrestlers, junior Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) and sophomores Logan Gresock (Wadsworth, Ohio) and Paul Crutchlow (Morris Plains, N.J.), were eliminated from the tournament.

Hart started the day in the quaterfinals against McKendree University losing in a technical fall 17-1. After going 2-0 against Liberty and Northwest Missouri State, Gresock was just one win short of entering into the All-American rounds but ran out of steam against Forrest Pryzbysz of US Naval Prep losing a 15-2 major decision.

Hart will wrestle on the final day of the championships on Saturday, Mar. 16. He has the opportunity to finish as good as third and as low as eighth.
